123India Mail is a FREE Web Based email service from 123India, which gives you a permanent email address that never changes even if you change jobs, location or your Internet Service Provider. 123India's email service lets you send and retrieve your email through your web browser so you can have instant, easy, access from any web-connected computer. Using 123India Mail is as easy as going to http://www.123india.com, logging in and sending an email message.

2. Is this email service Free?
Yes, this is a FREE service from 123India. You as an user have to pay nothing at all.

3. Do I need special software to access my account at 123india Mail?
No, you do not need any such software to use 123 India Mail. All you need is a computer with an Internet browser like Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 and above) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.0 and above) that is connected to the Internet.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Users: If you do not see the BROWSE button required to send ATTACHMENTS, it is because you are using an older version of Internet Explorer. We suggest that you upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.0. If you continue to use an older version of Internet Explorer, it must be at least version 3.02, and it must have Microsoft's "File Upload" patch installed. To access your email account at 123India Mail simply login from any computer connected to the Internet. All of your email messages and account information are stored centrally in our system and are accessible from anywhere in the world.

5. How secure is my email with 123India Mail?
Email stored at 123India Mail is accessible only by you, and protected by your secret Password. If you log into 123India Mail from a public terminal your session pages will expire once you logout so nobody can look at your past email sessions.

6. Is my email private?
123India realises that email is private correspondence between the sender and the recipient. It is 123India's policy to respect the privacy of its members. An additional advantage is that a member is not required to install any new software other than a Web browser.

9. Can I check my POP mail accounts using 123India Mail?
Yes, you can access upto 5 POP mail accounts from anywhere in the world using 123India Mail. For detailed information kindly go through the help section in your mailbox.

10. What about junk email (spam)?
123India Mail does not support the sending of Junk email(spam) through our system. The 123India Mail Terms of Service strictly forbids sending unsolicited email and we terminate all reported accounts that are in violation of the Terms of Service. If you do receive unsolicited email, report it to abuse@123india.com.

Remember to include a complete copy of the message, including the full message headers.

11. How do I cancel my email account at 123India Mail?
It is not necessary to cancel your account. It will be automatically deleted after 120 days of non-use.

12. How much mail can I store with 123India Mail?
Your account storage limit is 2.5MB(2.5 Megabytes) i.e., 2500K(2500 Kilobytes). So if an average message size is 10K, you should be able to store 250 messages.

Kindly note that as you read and delete messages, you create more storage space for new messages. This way you can always receive new messages.

13. I did not find an answer to my problems here. Who should I contact?

14. How do I signup for 123India's Free email service?
Kindly point your browser to http://www.123india.com and click on Sign Up link in the "FREE Web Based Email From 123India" section. Once you successfully complete the registration process thereafter, your email account will be created.

15. Will personal information given during registration be kept private?
Personal information will be used by 123India for demographic statistics and will help in maintaining your account. All information will be kept private and will not be disclosed without your permission unless required by law, regulation or court order.

16. Can I update personal information?
Updating your personal information is easy
- click on "Update Personal Info" link at http://mail.123india.com page.

- provide your Username, Password and click on "Enter" button.

- change your current personal details and click on "Update Personal Information" button.

Your personal information will be updated immediately.

17. What is the use of an Alternate Email Address?
Filling up the Alternate Email Address box is optional, but we recommend that you provide this information so that we have another way of contacting you. For example, we can email your 123India Mail Password to this alternate address in case you forget it.

18. What is the purpose of a Password Reminder Question and Answer?
The Password Reminder Question and Answer is used to retrieve your Password in case you forget it. So kindly select a question and answer that you will remember and is known only to you.

19. How do I login into my account?
To login, kindly point your browser to http://www.123india.com, enter the following information in the "Free Web Based Email From 123India" section and click on "Enter" button.
Username:
- if your email address is xyz@123india.com, then your Username is xyz.

Password:
- enter the Password you chose when you signed up for your account.

20. I know my Password but still can't login.
Please take careful note of the following when you login:
1. Kindly ensure that you have entered your Username(if your email address is xyz@123india.com, then your Username is xyz) in the relevant box.

2. Ensure that you have entered your Password correctly. Passwords are case sensitive, i.e., tajmahal and TajMahal are different.

21. I lost or cannot remember my Password.
If you have forgotten your Password, or your Password is not working for some reason, please click on Forgot Password? and submit the necessary details thereafter. 123India Mail system will retrieve your Password for you.

22. How do I change my Password?
To change your current Password all you need to do is to click on Change Password, submit the necessary details thereafter and your new Password will be activated.

Please note that this option is also available at the time of login.

23. My Password does not work when I login.
Please do not panic. Most Passwords don't work because they are typed incorrectly. Kindly ensure that you have entered the Password you chose during registration. (Your Password is case sensitive; i.e., tajmahal and TajMahal are not the same.) You can retrieve your Password by clicking on Forgot Password?

24. What Username and Password do I use to access my email account?
If you have just signed up, you chose your Username and Password as part of the sign-up process. Use this Password and Username to access your account.
